History of the Website
We were founded in 2012 by entrepreneur Wesley Banks, an engineering graduate with expertise in the science behind hearing devices, under the name Everyday Hearing.
In February 2019, Everyday Hearing was acquired by MVF, a global technology company that owns a number of leading digital publications and resource guides.
In February 2020, Everyday Hearing was rebranded to Clear Living, the website you've visited today.
Meet the Team
Lindsey Banks, Au.D.
Lindsey Banks is a graduate of the Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) program at the University of Florida.
Dr. Banks is the primary medical reviewer for Clear Living.
How We're Funded
Clear Living is funded by referral traffic and through partnerships with specialist hearing aid providers.
For example, if you read our reviews of the best bone conduction headphones and go on to purchase one of the products, we recommend through the Amazon links on our page we’ll receive a small commission.
We also have an online tool that can match people looking to get a hearing test or a hearing aid with a specialist provider in their area that offers hearing tests or hearing aids. When you submit the webform we’ll pass your request on to a relevant supplier in your area who will get in touch to arrange the next steps. For matching your request to what they are able to offer the suppliers pay us a small fee.
There is, of course, no obligation to go ahead and arrange the hearing test or purchase a hearing aid from suppliers you are matched with when using this service on Clear Living.
